OUR PROCESS

The creator of "tennis beast"
My name is Andrew Mateljan and my playing career brought me into contact with some of the best players and coaches in the world. It’s time I share what I’ve learned.
Tennis is an amazing sport where passion and determination are rewarded.
As a coach, I found myself asking the question, “Why isn’t America, the land of great resources and ability, not producing more world class tennis players?” I’ve seen places and players in Europe and South America that have a fraction of our resources, yet found success. How did they accomplish this feat? I had to seek these people out and learn their secrets. This quest has given me the ability to hand-select the methodology and attributes from the best coaching disciplines and philosophies around the world.
Now, I’m offering them to you, in a fully customizable training program.

THE AFTERNOON ACADEMY
for Junior Players
​
The Afternoon Academy is geared towards committed young players who need to balance their tennis regime with school schedule. Designed to create world-class junior players, it starts with the fundamentals and continues with the best practices in tennis.
It is an intensive training program based on the experiences acquired from the top programs worldwide.
Our system is designed to teach discipline, quick thinking, psychological strength, honesty, self-improvement, and respect which are the core values of Tennis Beast.
The academy runs Monday through Friday from 3:30 - 6:00.

professional/collegiate

The Full Time program is the best way to maximize a player’s potential in working toward a professional and/or collegiate sporting career. During the training sessions we create a productive and fun environment that encourages students to perform at their best. Players can expect to see almost immediate improvement in their game and results, which also affects their confidence levels on the court and outside it.
Since tennis is an extremely technical sport and both beginning and advanced players are welcome in this program, it is important that we keep the player:coach ratio low. This means the places available are limited so we can provide high level of individualized service.
The Full Time program includes 25 hours of coaching per week, most of which are scheduled on an individual basis.

One of the main differences between good payers and great players is the physical preparation. Before working on your psychology, before even working on your technique, you need a body that’s able to take the pressure — and that’s what Tennis Fitness is about.

If you want to start working on:

Coordination. Essential for any sport that includes a ball.

Speed. The quicker tennis player wins the game.

Strength. Strong legs, strong arms, strong body — you can’t play tennis with-out those.

Reflexes. Reflexes are decisions taken automatically. That’s just what you need when you have fraction of a second to decide what hit is best.

Endurance. The longest tennis match in the history lasted longer than 7 hours. You think you can take that without giving up?
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS

If you want some one-on-one training where we can focus exclusively on you and your game, then we're here to help.
​
Take lessons at our place or we can come to you. Lessons last for one hour and we will work on your technique, stamina, fitness and also help you "unlearn" any bad habits.
